Gulfport wins when we work together. Thank you Gulfport!

For those that requested the Invocation:

April 1, 2025

Our community made history during Women’s History Month. March has come to a close, but the reflection it inspires should continue. It’s a time to recognize the profound impact women have had on our history, culture, and society—and to amplify their voices as we work toward a future where all women are empowered, celebrated, and free from discrimination and violence.

As we carry this spirit forward, may we come together with wisdom, strength, and courage to do what is right for all—treating every person equally, fairly, and consistently. Let us put the needs of others before our own, act with love for the common good, and elevate public discourse. Let us champion the press, be good neighbors, and recognize our shared humanity in every person we meet. May every voice be heard, and may all genders be welcomed, respected, and met with civility on this council forevermore.

Now, let us honor the women who have shaped our community—those who have inspired new generations to lead, to break barriers, and to become the change-makers of tomorrow.
